Here are chimney questions I frequently hear:
 
  1. Do you give free estimates?  In today's economy, the time I spend with a customer inspecting their chimney in order to give a correct evaluation, is valuable, therefore there may be a charge. 
  2. Are you licensed and insured?  Yes, I am and can provide you with the proof of that upon request. 
  3. What kind of wood burns the best?  The best answer to that is SEASONED firewood.  A tree that was cut down, split, cut into manageable logs and left out to dry in the elements for a year or more is truly seasoned.
  4.  Do I have to get my chimney cleaned every year? An annual chimney inspection is recommended by the Chimney Safety Institute of America.
